Elise Lewis – Nurse Practitioner
Elise graduated with honors from both the University of Texas at Austin, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and from Texas Woman’s University, with a Master of Science in Nursing.
She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, recognizing her education, knowledge and professional expertise.
Practicing in family medicine provided Elise with a wide knowledge base and loads of experience allowing her to look at patients as a whole and treat the patient, not the symptom. However, it was there where she began to see that the traditional medical model and the “one size fits all” approach to medicine was not always the most helpful to patients. It seemed to her that it had become more about how many patients can be seen than about treating each patient to the best of their ability – and Elise simply could not conform to this.
While working at a women’s health clinic, she began working with hormone replacement therapy. Elise saw firsthand the impact that restoring hormone balance had in women’s lives and wanted to delve further into this field of medicine. She was amazed at how hormone replacement helped to relieve so many problems patients were experiencing, from infertility to weight issues and extreme PMS symptoms to menopause.
When she transitioned to an endocrinology practice to hone this focus, she was able to glean even more understanding and experience with hormone balancing. She attended an American Academy of Anti-Aging conference and realized that bioidentical hormones were vital to helping patients feel their best. It wasn’t enough to do some labs and then use antiquated systems of reading the results of those tests, as is very common in the medical industry. Hormone replacement needs to be individualized to each patient, based on their lab results and their symptoms as well as being properly balanced.
With a broad spectrum of experience under her belt; in critical care, surgical care, women’s health, family medicine and endocrinology, she was in search of a practice that would allow her to provide the kind of care, attention and cutting edge medical research and knowledge needed to truly help each patient she worked with.
It was with this in mind that she found Renewed Vitality. We at Renewed Vitality welcome her knowledge, experience and compassion for helping her patients improve their quality of life.
Elise looks at the whole patient picture. She enjoys educating patients and helping them to make needed lifestyle changes, including overseeing successful weight loss programs, correct hormone balancing for both men and women and overall health and nutrition. She listens to her patients and gains a full understanding of what they have been experiencing. With this understanding and the correct use of diagnostic tools and labs, Elise works to find the underlying causes of non-optimum conditions and address these to achieve long-term wellness for each of her patients.
Roxana Cocos – Nurse Practitioner
Roxana graduated with honors (cum laude) from the University of Texas in Dallas with a Bachelors in Neuroscience as well as from the Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelors in Nursing. In 2011, she completed her education with a Master of Science in Nursing from the Texas Woman’s University.
As a Nurse Practitioner she has worked in a Family Practice, in Primary Care, Urgent Care and in Endocrinology, giving her a well-rounded foundation of experience in treating patients.
She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a proud member of the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine.
Roxana is passionate about personalized health and medicine. While working as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she found the “pill for every ill” model dysfunctional and misleading, as simply treating the symptoms rather than the causes, not only failed to resolve the patients’ conditions, but often caused even more side effects. In her search to solve this puzzle, she was introduced to Integrative Health and Medicine while attending a conference. Presently, she is nearing the end of a two-year postgraduate fellowship in Integrative Health and Medicine.
Roxana is driven to empower patients, through use of many resources for high quality diagnostics and education, to take control of their own health and to help guide them on their paths to wellness.

Practicing in Oncology has provided Amanda with a wide knowledge base and extensive experience. It also gave her the desire to look at patients as a whole and treat the patient, rather than the traditional medical model and the “one size fits all” approach to medicine.
It was with this in mind that she searched for a practice that would allow her to provide the kind of care, attention, and cutting edge medical research and knowledge needed to truly help each patient she worked with, and she has found this at Renewed Vitality. We welcome her knowledge, experience, and compassion for helping her patients improve their quality of life.
